After actress Payal Ghosh accused Anurag Kashyap of sexual misconduct, many actresses from the Bollywood industry showed their support for the filmmaker. Now Sona Mohapatra has shared her point of view. The playback singer took to her Twitter handle and shared a series of tweets, 10 tweets to be precise, where she is not only seen supporting Payal Ghosh but also mentioned that she is shocked to see Taapsee Pannu's 'biggest feminist' comment about Anurag. She also wrote about working with Anurag.
She started her tweet casting her support to Payal Ghosh and wrote, "asked by many for a pov having been at the forefront of @IndiaMeToo. Finally saw the video of Ms Payal Ghosh. I stand by her right to tell the world her experience & truth. Maligning other women publicly in the bargain basis here say, in bad taste & wrong." Her next tweeted directed at Taapsee read, "also read the statement made by Ms Tapsee Pannu about Anurag Kashyap being the ‘biggest feminist’ she knew & I honestly buckled over gobsmacked. Shows how little she knows. Anyone would see otherwise if you just watched his films & his portrayal of women."
For the unversed, after Payal Ghosh leveled serious allegations against Anurag, Taapsee took to her Instagram account and shared a picture with him while telling that he is the biggest feminist she knows. She wrote, "For you, my friend, are the biggest feminist I know. Taking a dig at the actresses who stood in solidarity with Anurag, the playback singer tweeted, "Forget about joining a movement like #Metoo, that didn’t happen but not one Veteran, young Turk, Queen or Princess from Bollywood expressed any solidarity for the few of us who fought lone, punishing battles.
